Act 03 - Setting the facade
I am Dhiraj Sharma, design veteran with career success of over 18 years in driving creative portfolios across diverse media spread including Web, Print and broadcast (animation,VFX, live action). Self-taught artist driven by the challenge of using unconventional materials to create compelling artefacts.
Act 02 - Building premise
Installations made for renowned brands in last 2 decades highlighting my true dedication to art and sustainability.
2006 : Launched 8mango featuring miniature art pieces crafted from bulbs, PET bottles,
discarded electronic gadgets along with my CG work done in MS Paint.
2008 – IIT Bombay: Exhibitor | Created mascot with recycled materials
2009 – 2012 : Sony Entertainment | Art and Craft show
Presented how to make artwork using daily discarded objects for 80 Episodes.
2016, 2019, 2022 : TedX-Hyderabad | Experience Partner
Created installations using sustainable materials for experience zone, serving 7000+ audience
2023 : World Food International| Delhi
Designed installation made using waste packaging materials of edible product.
This was also acknowledged by our Honourable Prime Minister
2023 : Yantra Live | Bangalore
Created industrial-themed installation that resonate with the brand’s core values.
Act 01 - The prolouge
It was during the mid 90s is when I started watching films like ET, Star Wars etc on rented video cassettes. Highly inspired by tradition VFX methods used then before CG evolved. Super amazed how miniature props and sets were created on tables and shot with dynamic angles, particularly after seeing the BTS of HBO logo and many stop motion films.
